 Flights from Edinburgh  15.10.2007 back
Travel experts have predicted an increase in Croatian tourism in 2008, giving the country's property market a boost.

Edinburgh Airport has announced a new route to Dubrovnik, starting summer 2008, while experts are predicting that the country will be a fast-growing market for holidaymakers in 2008.

Flyglobespan will launch the route, with a spokesman singling out The Dubrovnik area for particular praise, describing it as one of the most of the most beautiful and ancient cities in Europe.

Commenting after Flyglobespan announced the launch of new flights between Edinburgh and Dubrovnik, the airport spokesman said the city was 'sure to prove popular' with tourists.

Tom Dalrymple, chairman of the low-cost airline, added: 'I am confident that Croatia will continue to be an attractive destination for holidaymakers.'

Last week, the American Automobile Association highlighted the increasing popularity of Croatia among tourists from the US, as the number of bookings they made in the country rose by 69 per cent this year.
