Evan Lazar, an attorney with the Prague office of international law firm Salans, received the “Star Lawyer” award in real estate law in Central and Eastern Europe given by Chambers & Partners.
The Prague office of Salans received the top ranking in real estate law for the third time and Lazar has been ranked the top real estate lawyer in the Czech Republic for the fifth consecutive year. This ranking is published by research company Chambers & Partners in its publication Chambers Global Guide—The World’s Leading Lawyers. It ranks by reputation the top firms and lawyers in 175 countries.
Salans employs 15 lawyers. Other lawyers from Salans’ Prague office who received awards are Olga Humlová in real estate law, Petr Kotáb and Alena Bányaiová in corporate law and mergers & acquisitions, and Alena Bányaiová and Olga Humlová in dispute resolution.
Salans lawyers represented Luxembourg-based Orco Property Group in the acquisition of a € 70 million (Kč 1.9 billion) real estate portfolio in Budapest, Hungary. They also acted for the Netherlands-based Rodamco on the acquisition of a € 75 million shopping mall in Slovakia.
