A survey of 2,600 adults by the banking giant found that many people were considering buying a property just to avoid the stresses and strains of the annual family break. Almost one in three people returned to the same destination every year.
Owning overseas property has become increasingly common for families in Wales in recent years, with many people buying houses in Spain, and increasingly, parts of Eastern Europe.
Mike Freer of NatWest International Personal Banking said, “Buying a holiday home abroad is increasingly becoming the norm for British families.”
