More Flights From EasyJet  06.12.2007 back
The start of February next year will see the advent of a new batch of flights running between Madrid and Tangiers from easyJet, reports APA News.

Budget airline easyJet is set to announce more flights to Morocco from Spain for 2008.

The start of February next year will see the advent of a new batch of flights running between Madrid and Tangiers, reports APA News.

Tangiers, which lies on the coast of north Africa, is the second most important industrial centre in Morocco after Casablanca.

While it is less than two hours from the Spanish port of Algeciras by ferry, Spain's large size makes Morocco considerably less accessible for anyone who does not live on the southern coast.

With mild weather and cheap property, Tangiers has become a favoured destination for both tourists and property investors, many of whom – of all nationalities - live in Spain.

Though easyJet already operates a service between the two locations, the increased number of flights could provide a boost to the Moroccan tourist trade.

Figures from the Moroccan Commerce, Industry and Services Chamber show that tourism went up by 21 per cent from 1995 to 2005.
