As anyone who is looking into making an overseas property investment knows, property in Poland is on a real high at the moment and nowhere more so than in Poznan.
The market for property in Poznan has seen extraordinary rises in 2007. 11.3% rises for the average property price in April really is amazing. 2 and 3 bedroom apartments in the city centre or that have good access to the city centre are seeing the most growth.
As is the case for most of Poland’s cities it is demand and supply that is creating this huge growth. It’s the same story that keeps cropping up on these posts about Poland. Not enough good quality property available for a nation that has a growing economy and more money to spend on property. There is a shortage of apartments being built in Poznan which in turn exacerbates the problem.
Of course this is great for overseas property investment, an investor can pick and choose their property in Poland by looking to see which markets are performing best at that time and which markets have long term growth potential. Poznan is certainly one of these markets that has potential.
Poznan is economically thriving, you just need to look at the huge new modern shopping malls in the city and the number of people out shopping to realise that these people have disposable income like never before. The amount of building work that is taking place in the city, the road improvements and the adverts for mortgages you see everywhere is a tell tale sign that the city is on the up.
Statistics show that it is the younger generation of people in their twenties and early thirties who are buying the most property, these people are taking the jobs that the economic prosperity and foreign investment is bringing and investing in a thriving property market.
Looking back on the Poznan market in ten years time a lot of people will be wishing they had invested, I am absolutely certain we will be laughing at the price you can buy an apartment for now. So low, how come we all didn’t invest? we will be saying. Probably because we didn’t know it was growing so fast, probably becasue there weren’t that many people or companies making enough noise about what is happening. Well, if you are reading this you are one step ahead of many other people. Don’t miss out.
