Serbian citizens who did not own an apartment before 1 July 2006, will be able to buy an apartment without having to pay for the transfer of absolute rights.
Tax relaxations on purchasing real-estate in Serbia take effect today.
The new law states that Serbian citizens who did not own an apartment up to July first, 2006, will be able to buy an apartment without having to pay for the transfer of absolute rights.
In addition, those buying their first apartment will get a refund of their VAT, which investors include in the price of the apartments and construction works on a rate of eight percent.
All others who plan to buy an apartment will be paying half the taxes, which is five percent of the property’s market worth.
